Very nice seeing my picture of Willie here. While in college, I had the experience of overhauling the engine, before I ever seen the aircraft. At my interview for PBA was told that, is the engine on her now. That lead to many trips up to P-town for checks on N205W. Luved my time, experiens and fun at PBA.

What’s really impressive is that Willie is still giving aerial tours of Naples, FL and Provincetown, MA
I feel privileged to be counted among the PBA”Willie” alumni. A long time ago- 1981 perhaps?- George Davies hired me as a Willie Captain for a summer in Provincetown with the assumption that with my 100 hours or so in a Citabria I wouldn’t wreck it. Had a blast, didn’t have to land on the beach, and I still love Provincetown. Ended the summer in the right seat of a DC-3 with Dave Stetson, survived all that, and my airline career was launched! I’d trade a thousand hours in a 777 for an afternoon flying around the Cape in those old DC-3’s.
Went on a tour over New Haven CT out of Tweed New Haven around 1995 and tried to fly over Provincetown a few years later. Pilot couldn’t get the plane to run !!!!
